Ankara: Canada has expanded its evacuation efforts for citizens in the Middle East as the regional situation continues to deteriorate, Foreign Minister Anita Anand said Monday.

According to Anadolu Agency, 55 Canadians used buses arranged by the Canadian government from Tel Aviv to Jordan on Monday, while seven more were transported from the occupied West Bank. Foreign Minister Anita Anand stated that Canada has stationed four buses in Trkiye at the border crossing from Iran, and ten Canadians utilized this service yesterday.

All evacuees are being assisted by Canadian officials to connect with commercial travel options. The Canadian government has increased its consular presence in the region to better support Canadians who have made their own travel arrangements. Anand emphasized Canada's capacity to facilitate travel out of the region and encouraged Canadians still present to take advantage of these options.
