Cape verde: Cape Verde goalkeeper Josimar Jose Evora Dias, known as Vozinha, expressed deep emotion as he revealed that his mother was unable to attend the FIFA World Cup due to a missed visa-related payment.

According to Anadolu Agency, the veteran goalkeeper shared his feelings following Cape Verde's 0-0 draw with Spain, reflecting on the absence of family members who have significantly influenced his life. Vozinha stated, "My mother could not be here because of a visa issue. We could not pay the money required for the visa on time."

The 40-year-old's emotional state was evident after the match, as he was consoled by teammates on the pitch. His thoughts also turned to his late grandmother and grandfather, who raised him and have since passed away.

Despite the off-field issues, Vozinha's performance on the field was exceptional. He was named player of the match after making crucial saves that helped Cape Verde secure a draw against Spain in their first-ever FIFA World Cup match. His outstanding play has also led to a significant increase in his social media presence, with his Instagram followers rising dramatically from around 50,000 to nearly 2 million after the match, based on screenshots shared online.
