Nabatieh: At least four individuals lost their lives and several others were injured following a series of Israeli drone strikes in southern Lebanon. The incidents occurred on Tuesday despite a fragile ceasefire and a recent understanding between the United States and Iran aimed at ending hostilities, as reported by Lebanese media.

According to Anadolu Agency, the initial strike targeted a vehicle in the town of Meifdoun in Nabatieh. Shortly after, another strike was launched as residents gathered at the scene. A second vehicle was later attacked in the same town, followed by a third strike on a vehicle in the nearby town of Choukine. These attacks resulted in the deaths of four individuals and left several others injured, based on preliminary reports.

Civil defense teams from the Islamic Health Authority, the Islamic Risala Scout Association, and the Lebanese Red Cross were involved in evacuating the casualties from the affected areas, as reported by the state news agency NNA.

The strikes occurred amid ongoing Israeli violations of the ceasefire, which has been in place since April 17, 2026. This ceasefire followed a memorandum of understanding between the US and Iran to halt hostilities across all fronts, including Lebanon.

Since the commencement of Israel's offensive on Lebanon on March 2, the conflict has resulted in 3,826 deaths, 11,851 injuries, and the displacement of over 1 million people, according to the latest official figures provided.
