Beirut: US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that its forces have taken significant actions to enforce a US maritime blockade against Iran in the Arabian Sea. The measures included redirecting 17 commercial vessels, disabling two, and boarding two others.

According to Anadolu Agency, CENTCOM made the announcement on the social media platform X, detailing that these actions were imperative to ensure compliance with the blockade operations. The command shared an image featuring a US sailor on duty aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Frank E. Petersen Jr. (DDG 121) as it patrolled the region, emphasizing the ongoing efforts to maintain security and operational integrity.

While CENTCOM did not disclose the identities of the vessels involved or elaborate on the specifics of the enforcement actions, the operations underscore the heightened military vigilance in the strategically crucial waters of the Arabian Sea.
