Beijing: Chinese Premier Li Qiang announced on Tuesday that Beijing is committed to addressing the "reasonable concerns" of US companies operating in China. This declaration comes in anticipation of President Xi Jinping's upcoming state visit to Washington scheduled for later this month.

According to Anadolu Agency, Premier Li made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the Board of Directors of the US-China Business Council, led by board chair Ryan McInerney, held in Beijing. Li emphasized China's willingness to actively promote the resolution of these concerns and uphold a fair and competitive market environment in compliance with the law.

Li also urged Washington to collaborate with China, emphasizing the need for concrete actions to address Beijing's concerns and to jointly implement the outcomes of the bilateral economic and trade consultations. He noted that, through joint efforts, the relationship between China and the US remains "generally" stable.

Furthermore, Li expressed China's readiness to work with the US, following the strategic guidance of the two heads of state, to enhance dialogue, expand mutually beneficial cooperation, properly manage differences, and promote a constructive and stable US-China relationship. He underscored the importance of striving for practical results in their bilateral engagements.

In a historical context, Chinese President Xi Jinping and former US President Donald Trump met in Beijing in May and reached a series of important consensuses. Xi's upcoming state visit to the US coincides with the UN General Assembly in New York later this month.

Premier Li reiterated that the core of China-US economic and trade relations is mutual benefit and win-win outcomes. He stated that strengthening cooperation is both a necessity and the right choice for both countries. While acknowledging that some contradictions and frictions are to be expected given the magnitude of their economic interactions, he maintained that solutions could always be found through mutual respect, understanding, and strengthened communication.
