Budapest: The Czech prime minister expressed support on Saturday for Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban ahead of Sunday’s parliamentary election in Hungary.

According to Anadolu Agency, Andrej Babis took to the US social media platform X to publicly endorse Orban. Babis highlighted Orban’s commitment to a vision of Europe characterized by peace, sovereign nations, and competitive member states. He emphasized Orban’s consistent efforts to protect Hungarian citizens and national interests.

Babis underscored the importance of stability and experienced leadership in what he described as turbulent times. Hungary is poised to hold parliamentary elections on Sunday, with current polls indicating Orban’s Fidesz party is trailing the opposition Tisza Party by 11 points, as reported by the Politico news website.
