New York:American entrepreneur Elon Musk has expressed that merging electric vehicle manufacturer Tesla with aerospace company SpaceX could be beneficial. He revealed that both companies have formed special committees to explore the possibility of a merger.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the idea stems from shareholder requests, prompting the companies to initiate evaluations. Musk mentioned that he supports the merger but is not directly involved in the independent review due to conflicts of interest. The special committees have been given the authority to approve or reject any potential transaction.

Musk highlighted the advantages of a merger, noting it could enhance collaboration in areas like artificial intelligence software, semiconductor architecture, robotics, and orbital logistics due to the companies' focus on advanced technologies. However, he cautioned that a merger is not guaranteed, as the committees have yet to agree on the terms, and a deal might never be reached.
