Accra:Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan extended his congratulations to Azerbaijan on its Restoration of Independence Day, underscoring the strong relationship between the two nations.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan expressed his heartfelt congratulations to Azerbaijan on the occasion, speaking on behalf of Turkey and its citizens. He shared his message via the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.

In his message, Erdogan addressed Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev as his "brother" and conveyed his warm regards to the Azerbaijani people. He highlighted the enduring solidarity between Turkey and Azerbaijan in both challenging and celebratory times, stating, "I extend my greetings to my Azerbaijani Turkish brothers and sisters, with whom we have always stood united in sorrow and joy."
