Bandar lengeh: A fire broke out on two commercial vessels due to a US-Israeli strike targeting a dock in southern Iran, according to Iranian media.

According to Anadolu Agency, the semi-official Mehr news agency reported that the attack hit a dock in the city of Bandar Lengeh in the Hormozgan province, igniting fires on two vessels owned by locals. The agency noted that one person was injured in the fires.

Rescue teams and maritime authorities are continuing efforts to bring the fires under control, the report added. The US and Israel launched an air offensive against Iran on February 28, which has resulted in more than 1,340 fatalities, including the then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

In response to the offensive, Iran has carried out drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, as well as Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets. These retaliatory actions have led to casualties, damage to infrastructure, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
