Fire Erupts at Fujairah Oil Industries Zone in UAE After Drone Attack

Fujairah: A fire broke out in the Fujairah Oil Industries Zone in the United Arab Emirates following a drone attack, local authorities said Tuesday. No injuries were reported, the Fujairah Media Office stated on the US social media company X's platform.

According to Anadolu Agency, local civil defense teams immediately responded to the incident and are continuing efforts to bring the fire under control. The Fujairah Media Office urged the public to get informed only through official sources to avoid misinformation.

The incident occurred amidst escalating hostilities in the region. Tensions have heightened since Israel and the US launched joint attacks on Iran on February 28, resulting in the deaths of approximately 1,300 people, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

Iran has responded with drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries housing US military assets. These retaliatory actions have caused casualties, damage to infrastructure, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
