Formula 2 and Formula 3 to Debut in Istanbul in 2027

Istanbul:Formula 2 and Formula 3 are set to race in Istanbul in 2027, marking the city's debut on both championships' calendars. These races will take place at Istanbul Park during the Formula 1 race weekend, with the Formula 3 event serving as the season finale.

According to Anadolu Agency, this will be the first time Istanbul Park hosts an F2 race in the FIA Formula 2 era and also marks the circuit's debut for Formula 3.

The 2027 calendar for Formula 2 will consist of 14 rounds, while Formula 3 will feature 10 rounds. Both series will start their seasons in March in Bahrain, followed by a race in Jeddah a week later, with subsequent rounds in Melbourne in April and Montreal in May.

After competing in Monaco, Silverstone, and Spielberg, the championships will break for the summer before resuming at Monza and then Madrid. Formula 2 will have a separate race in Azerbaijan in September before reuniting with Formula 3 in Istanbul. The Formula 3 season will conclude there, while Formula 2 will continue with its first race in Mexico City at the end of October, followed by events in Qatar and Abu Dhabi.

Montreal, after its inaugural hosting of the F2 championship in 2026, will return to the calendar. Additionally, Jeddah and Montreal will make their debuts in the Formula 3 series in 2027.
