French President Macron Embarks on Strategic Visit to Saudi Arabia.


Riyadh: The French president will visit Saudi Arabia to discuss cooperation and attend the One Water Summit. Emmanuel Macron’s three-day state visit starts Monday, according to Elysee Palace sources quoted by Saudi media.

According to Anadolu Agency, Macron will meet Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman to discuss ways to strengthen French-Saudi relations and upgrade them to a strategic partnership. The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of topics, emphasizing enhancing diplomatic ties and exploring opportunities for economic collaboration between the two countries.

Macron and Bin Salman will also delve into pressing regional issues and conflicts, with particular focus on Lebanon and the Middle East. This meeting comes at a critical time as both nations seek to play significant roles in stabilizing and fostering peace in the region.

The French president is also scheduled to attend and deliver remarks at the One Water Summit on Tuesday. This event is being held on the margins of the United Nations C
onvention to Combat Desertification (UNCCD) COP16, where global leaders gather to address water scarcity and its impact on environmental sustainability. Macron’s participation underscores France’s commitment to international environmental cooperation and sustainable development goals.
