Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, wrapped up Monday's trading session on a positive note, closing at 9,681.11 points, reflecting a 0.3% increase from the previous session's close. According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index experienced a gain of 29.11 points since Friday's close. Throughout the trading day, the index fluctuated between a low of 9,573.86 and a high of 9,703.24. The total transaction volume for the day amounted to 81 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to approximately $2.33 billion. Currency exchange rates reported at 7 pm local time (1600GMT) showed the USD/TRY at 34.7275, the EUR/TRY at 36.4590, and the GBP/TRY trading at 43.9010. Additionally, the price of gold was registered at $2,6544.06 per ounce, while Brent oil was priced at $71.90 per barrel.
