Evian: The Group of Seven summit meetings commenced on Tuesday in Evian, France, with world leaders convening to address global matters, with emphasis on Iran, Ukraine, and the Middle East. G7 leaders from France, Canada, Germany, Italy, Japan, the United Kingdom, and the United States initiated the summit with high-level discussions on Ukraine, joined by Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
According to Anadolu Agency, US President Donald Trump arrived on Monday to engage in talks with his counterparts and participated in the discussions on Ukraine. The summit is also attended by European Union leaders, including European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa.
Subsequent meetings are set to concentrate on developments in the Middle East, economic growth, and artificial intelligence. In addition to the Ukrainian president, several guests from outside the G7, such as Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, and leaders from South Korea, Kenya, and Egypt, are expected to participate.
Gulf state leaders, including Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and United Arab Emirates President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, are also anticipated to attend the summit.
