Gaza Group Suspends Aid Distribution Due to ‘Civil Disorder’

Gaza: A private organization backed by Israel and the US said Wednesday that its aid distribution in Gaza remains suspended, citing 'civil disorder.'

According to Anadolu Agency, the Gaza Humanitarian Fund (GHF) stated in a release cited by Israel's public broadcaster KAN that the operation had been temporarily halted due to 'civil disorder.' The GHF emphasized its commitment to ensuring security before resuming aid efforts, though no specific timeline was provided for when operations might restart.

On Tuesday, the situation escalated when American workers associated with the GHF were evacuated from the southern city of Rafah. This evacuation followed an incident where thousands of Palestinians converged on the aid distribution facility, leading to heightened concerns over safety and order.
