Berlin: Germany, the UK, and France have expressed firm opposition to any attempts to impose Israeli sovereignty over the occupied Palestinian territories. The E3 nations released a joint statement emphasizing that threats of annexation, settlements, and acts of settler violence against Palestinians undermine the prospects for a negotiated two-state solution.

According to Anadolu Agency, the E3 countries have demonstrated their readiness to support an immediate ceasefire and a political process aimed at achieving lasting security and peace for the entire region. The statement urged all parties to end the conflict in Gaza by reaching an immediate ceasefire. Additionally, the E3 reaffirmed their support for diplomatic efforts led by the US, Qatar, and Egypt.

The E3 also called for addressing the humanitarian crisis in Gaza and emphasized the need to meet the basic needs of the civilian population. The statement underscored that withholding essential humanitarian assistance is unacceptable and urged the Israeli government to lift restrictions on aid flow. It also emphasized the need for the UN and humanitarian NGOs to carry out their work to combat starvation, urging Israel to uphold its obligations under international humanitarian law.

The E3 expressed commitment to developing a specific and credible plan for the next phase in Gaza, which includes transitional governance, security arrangements, and delivery of humanitarian aid. They emphasized the necessity of the withdrawal of Israeli forces and the removal of Hamas leadership as critical steps towards a negotiated two-state solution.

The Netherlands has voiced support for the E3 statement, with Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof expressing full support on X. Schoof highlighted the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Gaza and urged Israel to change course by allowing humanitarian aid into the region. He affirmed the Dutch Cabinet's support for a two-state solution and consideration of measures to increase pressure for improving the situation.
