ISTANBUL: Germany's unemployment rate rose to 3.2% in April, up from 3.1% in the previous year, the statistical authority Destatis revealed on Tuesday. There were 1.42 million unemployed people in the country as of April 2024, up 4.9% versus April 2023, it noted. The number of employed people was 45.8 million in April 2024. "Compared with April 2023, the number of persons in employment in April 2024 was up 0.2%, or 110.000," it added. Source: Anadolu Agency
