Hotel Fire in Central Greece Claims Life of Owner, Injures Several Guests

KALAMBAKA: A hotel fire in the central Greek town of Kalambaka resulted in the death of the hotel owner and left several guests injured on Monday morning. The blaze broke out unexpectedly, causing panic among the occupants, as local media reported the tragic incident.

According to Anadolu Agency, the victim of the fire was identified as the 55-year-old owner of the hotel. At the time of the incident, the hotel was hosting 26 guests, many of whom were affected by the heavy smoke that filled the establishment. Local reports indicate that at least 10 people were transported to Trikala General Hospital, suffering from smoke exposure, with seven individuals experiencing respiratory issues.

The precise cause of the fire remains unknown, and investigations are underway by the relevant authorities to determine what triggered the blaze. The incident has raised concerns about fire safety measures in local accommodations, as the community mourns the loss of the hotel owner.
