According to Anadolu Agency, Szijjarto lauded Trkiye's role as a reliable transit partner ensuring Hungary's energy security. He remarked on the record-high trade volume between the countries in 2024, which brings them closer to the $6 billion trade target. Both nations have supported peace efforts between Russia and Ukraine, advocating for ceasefire and peace talks.

Szijjarto noted the significance of 2024 as the Trkiye-Hungary Cultural Year, recognizing shared cultural heritage. He also mentioned the ongoing Trkiye-Hungary Science and Innovation Year, aimed at expanding cooperation in modern industries. The foreign minister expressed satisfaction with the energy sector collaboration.

On the Russia-Ukraine conflict, Szijjarto expressed hope for an end to the war, citing ongoing US-Russia negotiations. He urged European politicians to support the peace process and emphasized the need for Trkiye and Russia's involvement in shaping Europe's security architecture.

Szijjarto highlighted Trkiye's crucial role in maintaining peace and stability, recalling its successful mediation efforts, including the Black Sea grain deal. He stressed the importance of including Trkiye in discussions to ensure a sustainable European security framework.

Addressing the Gaza ceasefire violation by Israel, Szijjarto expressed concern over escalating regional tensions and the potential impact on global security. Szijjarto criticized the ICC's perceived bias and stated Hungary's intention to review its participation in ICC activities.
