Minister of the Interior Constantinos Ioannou will represent the government of the Republic of Cyprus at the events condemning the 1974 coup d'etat and the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, that will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece. A press release by the Ministry says that Ioannou will be the main speaker at the national memorial for the fallen of the coup d'etat and the Turkish invasion in Thessaloniki on Sunday. He will also hold contacts with local government leaders of Thessaloniki, Serres and Kalamaria, as well as with organized groups of Cypriot expatriates in Northern Greece.
