Istanbul: The International Student Summit ISTSUM'25 was held on Saturday in Istanbul where experts discussed the impact of digital transformation on people, society, and working life.

According to Anadolu Agency, the event was hosted by the Bab-i Alem International Student Association at the Neslisah Sultan Cultural Center under the theme 'Focus,' with Anadolu serving as the global communications partner. The association's president, Ercan Akcan, highlighted the significance of international students in Trkiye, noting that the country has become an educational hub and a safe haven for about 350,000 students. He emphasized that these students are seen as honorary ambassadors of Trkiye and represent a promise of future peace and brotherhood.

During the summit, Burcu Kosem, head of the Turkish Red Crescent Istanbul, advised students to pursue education aligned with their interests rather than external pressures. Prof. Sefik Suayb Arslan of Bogazici University underscored the continuous nature of education in the modern era. ISTSUM General Coordinator Yasir Alkan elaborated on the summit's motto, urging attendees to focus on their respective fields, whether in academia or business.

The summit received support from the Federation of International Student Associations (UDEF), Fatih Municipality, Turkish Airlines, the Turkish National Agency, and the European Union.
