Iran Claims Regional Dynamics Altered After Conflict With US

Tehran:Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi declared that 'nothing will be the same' in the region following the recent conflict with the US and Israel, particularly concerning the administration of the Strait of Hormuz.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, Araghchi emphasized in a speech at the Foreign Ministry that the current war has fundamentally altered regional dynamics, stating that new realities must be acknowledged.

Araghchi highlighted that the shipping routes through the Strait of Hormuz will no longer operate as they did previously, and the management of the strait will differ from past practices. He further expressed that Tehran is open to any security plan originating from within the region itself.

The conflict between Iran and the US continues over control of the strategic Strait of Hormuz, with Tehran asserting its authority over the passage and Washington advocating for unrestricted navigation. An interim agreement was signed by the US and Iran in June to address the conflict, but diplomatic negotiations have since stalled amid escalating tensions.
