Iran: Iran's Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf stated that Tehran has received messages from neighboring countries expressing interest in forming new security and economic collaborations in the region despite threats of US sanctions against Iran.
According to Anadolu Agency, Qalibaf mentioned on the social media platform X that the US endangers the security of its allies by prioritizing the interests of Israel. He emphasized that a self-reliant regional order could ensure peace and security.
Recently, US President Donald Trump declared the launch of a significant economic campaign against Iran, describing it as "Economic Warfare and Isolation on an unprecedented scale." The initiative follows a memorandum of understanding between Iran and the US, facilitated by Pakistan and Qatar, which aimed to reduce hostilities and open a window for further negotiations.
However, these talks have encountered obstacles, particularly concerning the implementation of the memorandum and issues related to navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital channel for global oil and gas exports.
