Ankara:Iran warned that any new attack by the US or Israel would face a stronger response, stating it has prepared potential targets for retaliation and significantly expanded its weapons production capacity.
According to Anadolu Agency, Defense Ministry spokesman Reza Talaei-Nik emphasized that any renewed attack would be met with a "decisive response" resulting in heavier losses for Iran's adversaries. He mentioned that targets for potential retaliation have already been identified and prepared by the Iranian armed forces.
Talaei-Nik highlighted that Iran has enhanced its military capabilities with advanced missile and drone technologies, upgraded air defenses, as well as other naval, ground, and air systems. He also noted that the country's production capacity for weapons, defense equipment, and ammunition has increased 2.5-fold compared to levels before the conflict that started on February 28.
Furthermore, he stated that Iran's defense cooperation with Russia and China remains active, and strategic cooperation continues under existing agreements. Defense diplomacy and consultations with these countries have intensified in some areas. The recent tensions stem from the US-Israeli conflict against Iran, which began on February 28, involving strikes on Iranian military and nuclear facilities and retaliatory attacks by Tehran.
