Jerusalem: Iran launched a fifth wave of missiles at Israel within an hour, Iran's Tasnim News Agency reported early Friday. Sirens sounded in Jerusalem, Galilee, and Haifa, according to Israel's Channel 12.

According to Anadolu Agency, Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility for the attack, stating it targeted central and southern Israel, including Tel Aviv, as well as US military bases in the region. The IRGC declared the operation a "complete success" and confirmed the deployment of heavy, multi-warhead ballistic missiles and short-range drones in the attack.

Israel's Channel 12 reported that missile fragments or warheads had landed in Haifa Bay and the city of Shfar'am in northern Israel. Additionally, Israel's Yedioth Ahronoth daily noted that Iran had fired several missiles equipped with cluster munition warheads toward Israel in the past hour.

Israel's emergency service, Magen David Adom, confirmed no casualties in Haifa and reported no unusual incidents in Jerusalem and its surroundings. A spokesperson mentioned that emergency teams attended to a small number of people injured while rushing to shelters and others suffering from anxiety but confirmed no fatalities.

The regional conflict has escalated since the US and Israel launched a joint offensive on Iran on February 28, resulting in around 1,300 deaths, including then-Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Iran has retaliated with drone and missile strikes against Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries hosting US military assets, leading to casualties, infrastructure damage, and disruptions in global markets and aviation.
