Davos: US President Donald Trump stated that Iran must not resume its nuclear program, indicating that doing so could lead to military action. 'It's a rough place. It's a place that we hit very hard (last June).ending the nuclear (program). They would have had a nuclear weapon long ago, actually already. They would have had a nuclear weapon probably a month after we hit, had we not hit. And we hit them hard, the B-2 bombers,' Trump remarked during an interview with CNBC in Davos, Switzerland.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trump emphasized that Iran must not pursue nuclear capabilities, reiterating his firm stance. He mentioned that Iran had ceased executing protesters after he previously warned of potential military consequences. Trump claimed, 'They were gonna hang 837 people on Thursday. I told them, 'You can't do that.'' This development followed protests in Iran that began on December 28, driven by economic challenges, including a sharp currency depreciation and rising inflation.

Iranian officials have accused the United States and Israel of supporting 'armed rioters' responsible for several public attacks nationwide. Trump had warned of severe repercussions if protesters were harmed but later praised Tehran for halting hundreds of planned executions. During the CNBC interview, Trump expressed his hope that the US would not need to engage in further military actions against Iran, stating, 'We hope there's not going to be further action.'
