Tehran: Iran has expressed commendation for Trkiye and Pakistan for their opposition to the recent Israeli and US attacks on Iranian soil, characterizing their stance as 'clear and courageous.' The announcement was made by Iranian government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani at a press conference held in Tehran.
According to Anadolu Agency, the recent attacks resulted in the deaths of 1,062 individuals, including 102 women and 38 children. Mohajerani highlighted the deliberate targeting of seven hospitals and 11 ambulances by Israeli forces during their offensive. She also mentioned that Iran has received numerous messages of support from various countries in the wake of these strikes.
Iran's military preparedness remains a top priority, as Mohajerani emphasized the readiness of Iran's armed forces and security services in anticipation of potential renewed attacks. The conflict began on June 13 when Israel, with US backing, initiated a 12-day offensive targeting Iranian military, nuclear, and civilian sites, as well as key military and nuclear figures.
In retaliation, Iran launched missile and drone strikes aimed at Israeli military and intelligence installations. A ceasefire, brokered by the US, was announced on June 24, bringing a temporary halt to hostilities between Tehran and Tel Aviv.
