Iran Prepared for Both Diplomacy and Conflict in US Relations

Tehran:Iran's parliament speaker has stated that the nation is ready to engage in both conflict and negotiation with the United States, asserting that Iran remains unfazed by US actions.

According to Anadolu Agency, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, the speaker, emphasized in a parliamentary session that Tehran is determined to confront the US with full military strength and diplomatic efforts. He mentioned that Iran is prepared to introduce new strategies in the military arena while using diplomacy to assert its position and protect its national rights.

Qalibaf highlighted that the US had relayed certain proposals through intermediaries following Iran's presentation of a seven-day plan concerning the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. He reaffirmed that the strait would remain closed until Iran's seven conditions, which are based on the Islamabad Memorandum, are fulfilled.

In the prior month, Iran communicated a formal list of demands to the US through Qatari mediators to resolve the conflict that began on February 28. These demands include a complete cessation of hostilities, the release of Iranian assets, and the lifting of the naval blockade on its ports.
