Khasab:Strait of Hormuz: Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) ordered a tanker to turn back while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, threatening it would otherwise be targeted.

According to Anadolu Agency, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reported that the incident took place 11 nautical miles (20 kilometers) north of Khasab, Oman, on Sunday. The tanker was inbound when the IRGC issued the directive to turn back.

The master of the vessel confirmed compliance with the IRGC's instruction. UKMTO has advised vessels in the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activity as authorities continue to investigate the incident.
