Tehran: Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) announced that Israel deployed air-launched ballistic missiles in attacks against sites within the country. This revelation followed reports from both Israeli and Iranian media of Israeli strikes occurring across western and central Iran.
According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli army stated that its air force targeted military installations associated with the ‘Iranian regime’ in these regions. Iranian state television broadcast reports of explosions in Tehran, Tabriz, and Isfahan. Additionally, the Tasnim News Agency noted blasts near Karaj, while IRNA confirmed that at least three explosions were heard in Isfahan.
These incidents transpired just hours after Iran launched multiple missile barrages toward northern Israel. This was in response to an earlier Israeli airstrike on the southern suburbs of Beirut, Lebanon’s capital, which Tel Aviv claimed was aimed at a Hezbollah command and planning center.
