Tel aviv: Israel temporarily closed its airspace Monday after intercepting a missile launched from Yemen, according to Channel 12. The Israeli army reported that the missile was intercepted after warning sirens were heard across the greater Tel Aviv area, as well as in parts of central and southern Israel.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli Home Front Command had earlier issued warnings in response to the detection of the missile launch. Subsequently, Channel 12 reported that Israeli authorities decided to temporarily shut the country’s airspace following the incident.

These developments took place amid rising regional tensions. Iran had launched multiple missile barrages toward northern Israel late Sunday following an Israeli airstrike on Beirut’s southern suburbs. In retaliation, Israel conducted strikes on western and central Iran, with explosions reported in several Iranian cities, including Tehran, Isfahan, and Tabriz.
