Ankara: In response to Israel's recent military actions on the Gaza Strip, which resulted in the deaths of over 400 individuals, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan declared that Tel Aviv will be held accountable for 'every drop of blood it shed.'
According to Anadolu Agency, President Erdogan made these remarks during an iftar event at the National Defense University in Ankara. He condemned the actions as genocide, highlighting that most of the victims were children and women. "Unfortunately, at the time of suhoor, this Zionist regime committed genocide ... Most of them were children and women," Erdogan stated.
The Turkish President emphasized Trkiye's unwavering stance against those he accused of attempting to destabilize the region under the guise of a 'promised land.' He expressed a stern warning that the ongoing violence could eventually backfire on those perpetuating it. "The fire, which is burning innocent children, babies, and women, will eventually consume those who stoke the flames and pour gasoline on the fire if this arrogance, madness, recklessness, and insolence continue," Erdogan warned.
Erdogan also announced that Ankara plans to intensify its diplomatic efforts to halt the violence, advocating for the restoration of peace and a ceasefire in Gaza.
