Israeli Airstrike in Mount Lebanon Claims Eight Lives, Injures Several Others.

Mount Lebanon: At least eight people were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a residential apartment in Mount Lebanon province, east of Beirut, early Wednesday, Lebanese media reported. The attack targeted the Dawhet Aramoun area, resulting in several injuries and significant damage to multiple buildings in the vicinity. According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli air force also conducted a series of airstrikes in southern Beirut, specifically targeting the neighborhoods of Haret Hreik, Bir al-Abed, Laylaki, and Ghobeiry. The airstrikes are part of Israel's intensified air campaign in Lebanon, which has been ongoing since late September. Israel claims these operations target Hezbollah in response to ongoing cross-border warfare since the offensive on the Gaza Strip began on October 7, 2023. Lebanese health authorities report that nearly 3,300 people have been killed, over 14,200 have been injured, and more than 1 million people have been displaced due to the Israeli attacks since last October.
