Gaza City:Gaza The Israeli army carried out airstrikes late Thursday in the northern and central regions of the Gaza Strip, leading to the destruction of two homes and the displacement of dozens of Palestinian families.
According to Anadolu Agency – English, the strikes violated a ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10, 2025. The airstrikes targeted residences in the Safatawi neighborhood, north of Gaza City, and the Bureij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Witnesses reported that an evacuation warning was issued before the airstrike in Safatawi, causing panic and forcing families to evacuate their homes in the dark. The strike destroyed a home after a resident received a call from Israeli intelligence ordering the evacuation near the Yassin water desalination station.
In the Bureij refugee camp, a five-story residential building in the Block 7 area was destroyed following a similar evacuation warning. The airstrike caused extensive damage to nearby structures. Despite the destruction, no deaths or injuries were reported.
The ongoing offensive in Gaza has resulted in over 74,000 Palestinian deaths and more than 175,000 injuries since October 2023, with approximately 90% of the enclave's civilian infrastructure destroyed, according to Palestinian figures.
