Beirut: Five individuals lost their lives in a sequence of Israeli airstrikes aimed at multiple locations in southern Lebanon on Tuesday, as reported by state media.

According to Anadolu Agency, the National News Agency (NNA) specified that a drone strike targeted a car in Qlaileh municipality in the Tyre district, resulting in two fatalities. In another attack, an Israeli strike claimed the lives of the mayor of Jouya town in Tyre and a member of the municipal council. Additionally, a Lebanese man was killed in an attack on his residence at the Kfarjouz roundabout in Nabatieh city.

The Israeli military carried out these airstrikes shortly after issuing evacuation orders for residents in areas south of the Litani River. Since February 28, Israel and the US have been engaged in a joint operation against Iran, leading to the deaths of over 1,200 people and injuries to more than 10,000 others. The conflict has extended into Lebanon, with Israeli airstrikes causing more than 570 fatalities, over 1,400 injuries, and the displacement of thousands since March 2.
