Israeli Army Intercepts Suspicious Aerial Targets Amid Rising Tensions with Iran

Eilat: Israel intercepted a suspicious aerial target launched into its territory early Saturday, the Israeli army announced amid escalating tensions with Iran. "Following an alert that was activated at 00:15 in the Eilat area, the Air Force intercepted a suspicious aerial target that was launched into Israeli territory," the army said on X. Alerts were activated with the 'intrusion of a hostile aircraft' into the Eilat area, with details under examination.

According to Anadolu Agency, a separate incident involving another suspicious aerial target occurred simultaneously in the Arava region, as reported by the Israeli army. "Sirens sounding in the area of the Negev due to the infiltration of hostile aircraft," the military added. The Air Force successfully intercepted both suspicious aerial targets.

In a separate post, the Israeli army stated that a Navy missile ship intercepted five drones launched from Iran. These incidents followed Israel's military operation against Iran on Friday, which targeted Tehran's nuclear program and long-range missile capabilities. In response, Iran launched "Operation True Promise III" against Israel.
