Gaza city: The Israeli army issued three evacuation orders for residential areas in the Gaza Strip on Monday, while an airstrike destroyed a water desalination plant in Gaza City. Israeli warplanes struck a recently built desalination plant near the Al-Radwan Mosque in Gaza City's Sheikh Radwan neighborhood, destroying the facility and sending columns of smoke into the air, an Anadolu correspondent reported. The strike also caused extensive damage to nearby tents housing displaced Palestinians. The attack came shortly after Israel issued a warning ordering Palestinians to vacate the area.

According to Anadolu Agency, witnesses reported that a Palestinian resident received a telephone call from an Israeli intelligence officer instructing him to leave the area immediately and to inform other residents to do likewise. The officer claimed that the Israeli army was preparing to strike the Al-Radwan prayer hall and the adjacent desalination plant. Earlier in the day, the Israeli army ordered the evacuation of a residential area north of the Al-Shati refugee camp in northwestern Gaza City, which is home to tens of thousands of displaced Palestinians.

Soon afterward, the army instructed residents to vacate a residential block in the Al-Bureij refugee camp in the central Gaza Strip. This marked the third such evacuation warning issued on Monday, according to an Anadolu correspondent. The situation remains tense as the affected areas grapple with the immediate impacts of the airstrikes and the ongoing conflict.
