Israeli Delegation Engages in Ceasefire Talks in Doha

Doha: An Israeli delegation arrived in the Qatari capital, Doha, to engage in negotiations concerning a potential agreement for a hostage exchange and ceasefire in the Gaza Strip. This development marks a significant step in the ongoing efforts to address hostilities in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, the delegation comprises key Israeli figures, including the deputy head of the Shin Bet security service, who is referred to as S., along with hostage affairs envoy Gal Hirsch. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's foreign affairs adviser Ophir Falk is also part of the team, accompanied by representatives from Mossad and Israeli military intelligence.

These ceasefire negotiations coincide with US President Donald Trump's arrival in Saudi Arabia, marking his first Middle East tour since assuming office in January. President Trump's itinerary includes visits to Qatar and the United Arab Emirates, indicating a broader regional diplomatic engagement during this tour.
