Hebron: Israeli forces arrested at least 15 Palestinians in multiple raids across the West Bank while illegal Israeli settlers carried out several attacks on civilians, according to local and security sources. The detainees were from Yatta, Qalqilya, Duma, and Jenin, as reported by the Palestinian news agency Wafa.
According to Anadolu Agency, illegal Israeli settlers carried out attacks on Palestinian civilians and property in several areas. In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, two residents were beaten, and fruit trees and vehicles were vandalized. Additionally, in Attara, northwest of Ramallah, settlers set fire to four vehicles and a home, causing material damage and spraying racist slogans. In another incident, two young men were shot with live rounds during an attack by settlers in Al-Mazra'a, east of Ramallah.
Data from the Palestinian Authority's Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission reveals that illegal settlers committed 2,153 attacks during the first half of 2025, resulting in the deaths of four Palestinians. Since the onset of Israel's war on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, at least 1,014 Palestinians have been killed and over 7,000 injured in the West Bank by Israeli forces and settlers, as per the Health Ministry.
In a notable development last July, the International Court of Justice declared Israel's occupation of Palestinian territory illegal, demanding the evacuation of all settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem.
