Quneitra:Israeli forces abducted a young man during a military incursion into a village in southern Syria's Quneitra province. The operation took place on a Monday, as reported by Syria Alikhbaria TV.
According to Anadolu Agency, the official broadcaster stated that Israeli troops entered the village of Bariqa and detained the man. Details about the individual's identity or his destination were not provided.
The incident occurred amid several Israeli military incursions into southern Syria on the same day. In the western Damascus countryside, Israeli forces reportedly destroyed an abandoned military barracks near the town of Beit Jinn. Additionally, a separate force consisting of six military vehicles entered an area south of Al-Rafid in Quneitra province.
Elsewhere, Israeli troops entered the Wadi al-Raqqad area in Daraa province early the same day, where they reportedly opened fire toward agricultural land before withdrawing.
These incursions followed a report by the UN Human Rights Office, which noted approximately 280 incidents involving armed Israeli intrusions into Syria in September, marking the highest monthly total recorded this year. The UN office also reported that at least 49 Syrians remain in Israeli custody.
Syria has reiterated its demand for Israel to withdraw from occupied territories and has reaffirmed its commitment to the 1974 disengagement agreement.
