Beirut:Israeli forces launched airstrikes, drone attacks, and artillery shelling across southern Lebanon, targeting multiple areas in violation of an ongoing ceasefire, as reported by Lebanese media.
According to Anadolu Agency – English, the attacks on Monday affected six areas across the districts of Nabatieh, Bint Jbeil, Marjayoun, and Tyre. Lebanese official National News Agency (NNA) confirmed that Israeli warplanes struck Wadi al-Hujair, and an Israeli quadcopter drone fired a projectile at a building in the al-Rajm neighborhood of Mayfadoun. The outskirts of Mayfadoun also experienced intermittent shelling.
In the Bint Jbeil district, Israeli artillery targeted the town of Haddatha. Meanwhile, in the Marjayoun district, two waves of strikes were carried out near Tallouseh, and two detonations were conducted in the town of Qantara. The specific sites of these detonations were not detailed by the agency.
Additionally, in the Tyre district, the town of Mansouri and its surrounding valley were subjected to artillery shelling. No casualties have been reported from these attacks.
Since March 2, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have resulted in significant casualties and displacement. Despite a US-sponsored framework agreement signed on June 26, which aimed at a gradual Israeli withdrawal and the disarmament of Hezbollah, Israeli forces have continued their operations in southern Lebanon, maintaining their occupation of certain Lebanese territories.
