Tel aviv: The Israeli military announced that it conducted airstrikes on multiple sites linked to Iran’s nuclear and weapons production programs across three regions, targeting key facilities. In a strategic operation, more than 50 Israeli Air Force fighter jets were deployed on Friday to execute the coordinated strikes.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Israeli army’s statement detailed that the airstrikes were carried out in three waves over several hours. The targeted locations included significant infrastructure related to Iran’s nuclear program in the cities of Arak and Yazd, along with weapons production sites. Among the notable targets was the heavy water plant in Arak, identified as a primary facility for plutonium production, which is a critical component for nuclear weapons.

The statement further elaborated on the attack on a Yazd facility, which the Israeli military claimed is involved in producing explosive materials for uranium enrichment. In addition to these, the strikes targeted a military industries facility responsible for manufacturing weapons and a site affiliated with Iran’s Defense Ministry that focuses on developing advanced explosive devices.

The Israeli army claimed that some of the targeted sites are used to supply weapons to groups such as Hamas and Hezbollah. It also mentioned that a facility for producing components for ballistic missiles and air defense systems was among the targets. There has been no immediate response from Iranian authorities regarding these claims.
