Ramallah: Seven Palestinians were injured on Saturday in Israeli occupiers' attacks in the West Bank, while the Israeli army arrested six others. Three of the injured were located in the town of Jalud, south of Nablus, as reported by the official Palestinian news agency Wafa. The injured individuals were transported to a medical center in the town of Qabalan for necessary treatment.
According to Anadolu Agency, in Jabal Jalis, east of Hebron, four Palestinians, including a 71-year-old woman, were injured in an assault by the occupiers. In Masafer Yatta, south of Hebron, occupiers released livestock onto residents' lands and uprooted around 30 olive trees, as noted by an activist, Osama Makhamreh, reported by Wafa. Eyewitnesses also noted that the occupiers continued daily attacks on the village of Duma, southeast of Nablus.
In a related development, local sources informed Anadolu that two young men were arrested by the Israeli army in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in occupied East Jerusalem. In Jenin, the army arrested two residents from the village of Kafr Qud after conducting raids and searches in their homes, according to Wafa. Local sources cited by the agency also reported that the army stormed the towns of Arraba, Bir al-Basha village south of Jenin, and Silat al-Harithiya to the west, raiding several homes without making arrests.
The West Bank and East Jerusalem have been experiencing a surge in Israeli military operations, characterized by raids, arrests, gunfire, and the use of excessive force. Palestinians are facing increasing attacks by occupiers, aimed at pressuring residents to vacate their land for settlement expansion. Approximately 750,000 Israeli occupiers reside in 141 settlements and 224 outposts in the West Bank, including around 250,000 in East Jerusalem, which is regarded by the United Nations as part of the occupied Palestinian territories.
Since October 2023, the Israeli army's and occupiers' attacks in the West Bank have resulted in the deaths of at least 1,155 Palestinians, injuries to about 11,750 others, and the arrest of nearly 22,000 people, according to official Palestinian figures.
