Israeli Strikes Hit Multiple Areas of Gaza in Fresh Ceasefire Violations

Gaza city: Israeli forces carried out airstrikes and artillery shelling across several areas of the Gaza Strip early Saturday, in the latest violations of a ceasefire agreement that has been in place since October 2025. Local sources reported that these strikes targeted areas under Israeli control, breaching the established ceasefire arrangement.

According to Anadolu Agency, Israeli artillery specifically targeted eastern parts of Gaza City. An Israeli fighter jet struck a location in the northern Gaza Strip, while a military helicopter opened fire toward eastern areas of Jabalia town. In the southern part of Gaza, the city of Rafah was hit by airstrikes from Israeli warplanes, with additional military fire directed toward areas north of the city.

The ongoing conflict has resulted in significant loss of life and injuries. Since October 2023, the Israeli army's operations have killed more than 71,400 people, mostly women and children, and injured over 171,000, leaving the enclave devastated. Despite the ceasefire, the Israeli army continues to conduct attacks, with 424 Palestinians killed and 1,189 wounded, according to the Health Ministry.
