Derby: English Championship club Derby County confirmed the appointment of John Eustace as the new head coach on Thursday. "I'm excited to welcome John back to Derby County. Fans will remember him for his craft, commitment and intelligence. He was a real leader," club owner David Clowes said after the signing ceremony.

According to Anadolu Agency, Eustace has a track record of helping teams avoid relegation and achieve strong league finishes. He previously helped both Queens Park Rangers and Birmingham City avoid relegation and took Birmingham to sixth place before his departure. He replicated this success at Blackburn Rovers, leaving the team in the play-off places.

John Eustace has signed a contract that extends until the summer of 2028, and his responsibilities as head coach began immediately upon his appointment. The 45-year-old will have Matt Gardiner as assistant head coach and Keith Downing as the First Team coach to form his coaching staff.

Throughout his managerial career, Eustace has managed Birmingham City, Blackburn Rovers, and Derby County, overseeing 226 matches with a record of 98 wins and 53 draws.
