Sanaa: The Jordanian army announced on Monday evening that it successfully intercepted three missiles launched from Iran that were aimed at the kingdom. This development comes amid escalating tensions between Tehran and Washington, with both nations engaged in a series of retaliatory attacks across the Middle East.

According to Anadolu Agency, the interception was confirmed by Jordan's state news agency, Petra, which reported no casualties or damage. The agency highlighted that Jordanian engineering teams were promptly dispatched to the sites to manage and investigate the missile debris.

The Jordanian military assured that it remains vigilant, closely monitoring the kingdom's airspace to uphold security and preparedness. "We will not hesitate to confront any threat to the kingdom's security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens in accordance with the applicable rules of engagement," stated the military.

The announcement was made shortly after warning sirens were heard across the nation, as reported by state-run Al-Mamlaka TV. The interception underscores the heightened state of alert in the region amidst the ongoing geopolitical tensions.
