Kuwait city: Kuwait announced Monday that two of its naval servicemen have been killed amid the ongoing US-Iran conflict. In a statement, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces reported that Sgt. Walid Majid Suleiman "was martyred while on duty."
According to Anadolu Agency, the military later confirmed that Sargeant Abdulaziz Abdulmohsen Dakhel Nasser, another member of the naval forces, was killed Monday evening while performing his national duties. The statement did not provide further details regarding the circumstances of the deaths.
The incident occurs as regional tensions have heightened since Saturday when the US and Israel launched a large-scale attack on Iran, resulting in the deaths of several top Iranian leaders, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
