Moldova: Moldova announced on Thursday that it will conduct its next parliamentary elections on September 28. The date was chosen following a parliamentary session where deputies from the ruling Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS) proposed the decision. The proposal saw 57 lawmakers voting in favor, while 32 abstained, in the 101-seat parliament.
According to Anadolu Agency, the parliamentary decision was supported by a statement emphasizing the importance of adhering to legal deadlines to ensure that the elections are conducted within a democratic, transparent, and efficient framework. Veronica Rosca, a lawmaker, highlighted that the decision will take effect upon its publication in the Official Gazette, as reported by Moldovan state news agency Moldpres.
