Moldova: Moldova's president announced that the nation is preparing to join the coalition of the willing to support Ukraine. This coalition aims to secure lasting peace and potentially deploy a multinational force in the region. The announcement was reported by public broadcaster Radio Moldova following a National Security Council meeting.
According to Anadolu Agency, President Maia Sandu highlighted Moldova's expertise in demining and its capacity to provide training and specialized interventions to support Ukraine. She stated that Moldova is already assisting Ukraine through demining training and is ready to expand its involvement if the coalition members reach a final agreement for Moldova's participation.
In March 2025, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer unveiled plans for establishing a "coalition of the willing." This coalition seeks to deploy troops and enforce a potential peace deal in Ukraine, with the UK and France leading the efforts. The initiative comprises 35 countries, including several European nations and Japan.
