Bangkok: The New York Stock Exchange concluded the week with declines in its first session following the Christmas holiday break. The Dow Jones Industrial Average saw a slight decrease of 0.04%, or 20.19 points, ending at 48,710.97 points.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Nasdaq also fell 0.09%, amounting to a decrease of 20.21 points, closing at 23,593.01. Similarly, the S and P 500 experienced a loss of 0.03%, shedding 2.11 points to close at 6,929.94. US stock markets, which were closed on Thursday due to the Christmas holiday, traded lower on Friday.

Analysts have noted that trading volumes remained low in the markets following the Christmas holidays. On the corporate front, tech company Nvidia saw a 1% gain after announcing a licensing agreement with chip startup Groq for inference technology.
